PriorityStart! is an automatic computerized on/off “switching” system protecting battery voltage and starting power. If battery voltage drains below 11.7 volts when engine is off, it automatically disconnects the load. The battery voltage immediately recovers. Connection on red cable broke off when removing cable from battery post. Very poor design on that part. Other wise it did exactly what it said it would. Decided to have short in my car fixed. With this unit installed, when it cuts power had to reset radio and other setting all the time.

The post in the Priority start is marginal at best. The first one I had to drill out the side post. The second I cant put the top post adaptor.

Poor design/quality control

The positive battery terminal is staked on to the end of the red cable at one point only. On the unit I received, the terminal pulled right off of the cable during installation. I looked carefully at the terminal, and it is staked beyond the end of the copper conductors.

If this was to come apart after installation, you would be left with a non-starting car or worse yet, a stall while driving.

Product is well worth the money!

My car has a short in the audio system which causes the battery to discharge. i have installed the product to prevent future battery dischargeing.
