AGM is the only way to go! First you will need longer screws due to the spacers. It is a 6mm. I suggest stainless. This battery manufacturer makes the OEM Harley battery along with many, many other brands. East Penn Mfg out of PA. After speaking to their tech dept, the Big Crank and Deka are identical batteries with diff. color schemes but are exactly the same specs they make for Harley. The posts had to be modified due to contractual agreements with Harley. In short, it's the same battery they make for Harley but diff color and post mount. Bottom line, it will be just as good for 60% of the price. Put some blue loctite on the stainless screws to ensure a good fit. Let sit over night to cure before starting and vibrating screws. Do install battery maintainer for longer life. I prefer Battery Minder 12112 over the expensive CTEK 3300. I own both. The new Battery Minder,39.99, puts out 1.3 amps vs its previous 1amp. If possible, top battery off with a fresh 2 amp charge for 4hrs from a 12v car charger. It's like riding your bike for 4 hrs as it puts out a continuous 14.4 volts at 2amps. I have a high compression S&S 124" that has been modified with a spyke 1.8KW starter, so I needed the extra fresh charge of 14.4 volts. The maintainer will not charge it upon arrival, as the voltage upon arrival will show charged at about 12.5. Which really is sufficient for most any Vtwin.

I installed this into my 2010 Dyna Custom. Installed easily in just a few minutes.It arrived with a 12.5 charge, and after riding for about 30 min,the charge was 12.85. So far I am very happy and expect this to be better than the original battery .
