I purchased two of these: one for my each of my GPS base station batteries. The batteries sit outside while I work and I wanted to protect them from the elements. There is enough room in this to put the battery charger along side the battery for a quick hook up to charge them at the end of the day. The only thing that would be helpful for my purposes is to have a way to attach a strap or a handle to the box because often I have to carry it a long distance.
Too bad the shipping charge is almost as much as the cost of the battery boxes though.

I used the battery box to house my second battery for a backup sump pump. Keeps them both clean and safe. Shipment was very fast. Ordered it in the afternoon and had it the next morning with just regular ground shipment.

Batteries fit like glove, there is a 2-level lid securement process, the clips and the strap. The strap is a little tricky until you figure it out. It would be nice if the strap was attached to the box to avoid loosing it or having it fall to the ground. Easy to fix with a rivit and washer.
